"This event is for the whole family, for young and old. Because the project is a future project for Stuttgart, the region and Baden-Württemberg".

Bernhard Bauer, Chairman of the Association

With around 64,000 interested visitors, the fifth "Construction Site Open Days" organized by the Stuttgart-Ulm rail project association achieved a record result. "Now that the progress of construction work on the site around Stuttgart Central Station is becoming increasingly visible, the interest of the public in coming to the construction site and seeing for themselves directly on site is great. We would never have expected the interest to be so great," said Bernhard Bauer, Chairman of the Stuttgart-Ulm rail project association, summing up the number of visitors to the three-day event. "The citizens are very grateful to be able to directly experience the progress of the construction of what is probably the best-known construction project in the country."

This event is for the whole family, for young and old. Because the project is a project for the future for Stuttgart, the region and Baden- Württemberg," Bauer classifies the event. "My thanks therefore go to all the visitors, some of whom queued patiently at the individual stations. But my thanks also go to those who made this major event possible and prepared it. The citizens who will benefit from the future project have more than rewarded us for the organizational effort with their overwhelming interest in the direct experience and the open exchange of opinions with the experts.

Since 2016, the association Bahnprojekt Stuttgart-Ulm e.V. has been organizing this major event together with the project partners and project participants. The visitor numbers so far in detail:
