Together with DB Projekt Stuttgart-Ulm GmbH (DB PSU) and those involved in the construction, the Stuttgart-Ulm rail project association is making it possible to open the construction site to visitors. The open construction site days will once again take place on Holy Saturday (19.04.), Easter Sunday (20.04.) and Easter Monday (21.04.) from 10 am to 5 pm. This is the ninth time that the association has organized this mega-event around the heart of Stuttgart 21, the conversion of Stuttgart Central Station, and is opening the construction site to interested parties.

"The station is clearly taking shape and we are on the home straight with all the construction work. All visitors will be able to see this enormous progress with their own eyes," said an enthusiastic Bernhard Bauer, Chairman of the Stuttgart-Ulm railroad project association, when announcing the event. "The interest and the associated visitor numbers in recent years have far exceeded our expectations. This 'foot-tapping' approval of the future-oriented project in Baden-Württemberg was a great pleasure for everyone involved. This year, our guests can experience and see the almost completed new platform hall with installed tracks, overhead lines, stairs and the first elevators."

Registration required for a look inside the platform hall

However, the Open Construction Site Days 2025 will be held under different conditions due to the great progress of construction and all the work still to be done. As in previous years, access to the construction site and to the information and event stands is free of charge and subject to registration. "As in previous years, we would like to show the public everything about the construction site. However, it also has to be feasible in terms of the construction work," says Bauer, summarizing the current status of planning. "In order to safely manage the expected number of visitors, we will limit access to the pedestrian walkway in the platform hall." Registration can be completed from Monday, March 03, 2025, 10 a.m. at https://its-projekt.de take place.

Information stands and events on the construction site

"We are very happy and grateful that we can open the construction site to the public again this year," says Bauer, summing up the coordination talks with DB PSU. "It has always been important to us that people can experience the construction progress live on site and get information from the experts. The event concept is currently being developed. Our aim is for the event to once again be a celebration for the whole family, with lots of information and fact-based discussions as well as unforgettable insights."

The association provides regular updates on key developments via press releases, the website and social media channels (@infoturmstuttgart).
