The Stuttgart-Ulm rail project association, together with DB Projekt Stuttgart-Ulm GmbH (DB PSU) and those involved in the construction, opened the construction site around Stuttgart Central Station to visitors this Saturday (19.04.). The 26,000 tickets that could be booked for the first of the three days were already completely sold out in advance. There are still a few remaining tickets for last-minute visitors on Easter Sunday.

"The number of visitors to the ninth edition of the open construction site days was once again overwhelming," says Bernhard Bauer, Chairman of the Stuttgart-Ulm railroad project association and responsible for organizing the mega event. "With direct, fact-based discussions between experts and interested parties at over twenty information points as well as unique insights into the platform hall and the Bonatz building, people were able to see the impressive construction progress for themselves." The first day of the three-day event ended with 26,000 visitors counted. In addition to the platform hall, the first completed light eyes and the entrance grid shell, which is currently under construction, could be viewed. "People are really looking forward to the new station and the first trains. They are enthusiastic about the unique architecture and the ambience, which resembles a cathedral," says Bauer, summarizing the initial feedback from conversations with guests. "Not only is a spectacular new landmark of German engineering and architecture being built here in Stuttgart, but also an exemplary station of the future. I am not the only one who is deeply convinced of this."

There are still a few tickets left on Easter Sunday (20.04.) for last-minute bookers. Available tickets can be ordered at its-project.com can be booked. There are no further tickets available for Easter Monday (21.04., sold out). The gates to the construction site will be open on Easter Sunday (20.04.) and Easter Monday (21.04.) from 10 am to 5 pm.

Due to the major progress of construction work and the associated reduction in available space, as well as the enormous crowds in recent years, registration is required for this year's event. However, as in previous years, access to the construction site and to the information and event stands is free of charge.

The association provides regular updates on key developments relating to the event via press release and the website its-project.com and the social media channels (@infoturmstuttgart).
